February 14th, 2008 - We Stand in Awe
Wow. The doctors are shaking their heads! It seems Cameron is doing so incredibly well that… well, they want his bed! When the word first came that they’re preparing to reclassify him as an outpatient we thought hey… there’s some kind of administrative bungle, but then once the oncologist came and explained that Cameron is defying all of their expectations and that whilst he will need to remain resident in the lodge - which is a motel type facility on the hospital grounds – he could be allowed home in a little as one week! Our God is indeed awesome!
To think that just a little over a week days ago Cameron was in ICU and only yesterday we were being told that it would be at least 4 weeks until he might, perhaps be allowed home for a short visit… At first, when the nursing staff started making arrangement to discharge Cameron we immediately became anxious and started to resist the move… Then, over the next couple of hours we realised what was happening! Here we were, questioning the miracle we and so many people around the world have been praying for, which we have obviously been granted.  There isn’t much more to say right at this moment, except thank you Lord.Â

Dear Bill, Leigh, Cameron, Carlton and Owen,
When I first heard of the news of Cameron’s illness I felt such awful shock and sorrow and for the following days my waking thoughts were consumed with praying for you all. It was at this time that I felt God reminding me that He was the indescribable, uncontainable, awesome God who not only put the stars in the sky but has created a universe the size of which we can hardly imagine.Knowing this then it was more than concievable that God can most certainly intervene in the most miraculous way to heal Cameron. Although this has come as a real shock to you all there is some reassurance in knowing that the lymphoma has not taken God by surprise and He is as always holding you all in the palm of His hand. We are praying for you all.

Jenna,Alana and Melissa (from MBC) are thrilled that you are doing so well. We say our prayers to our Lord every night and ask him to heal you and look after you. Jesus is with you, just close your eyes and he’ll be right beside you every step of the way

What fantastic news, we are so pleased to hear that you may be going home soon. The Lord is good and the Lord is wonderful! Praise him for he is answering all of our prayers. Seb and Ross are still at school,but I bet you they will be jumping up and down with joy when I tell them the good news. All my love Monique.

Although there was a small problem, Dad did keep me informed and I was very pleased to hear how well you were doing and that pretty soon you will be home with,Owen,Carlton,Mom and Dad. All the family here in South Africa are praying for you and send their love, and many. many more that you and I have never met put you right there with them and their families in prayer. Hi everyone,
I just wanted you all to know that we haven’t stopped praying for you. A few weeks ago Pastor Phil callenged us to pray BIG prayers to match the BIGness of our God. That’s what we’ve been doing and we REJOICE with you to see He has is answering!
What more is there to say than, HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!
